Alister Stickland, Assistant Conductor
Douglas Yeo, Music Director Emeritus
The New England Brass Band is a concert group of thirty musicians with a common interest in the performance of well presented brass music in the British brass band tradition.
The band members come together once a week to rehearse and enjoy the experience of playing in this unique group. The band was formed in 1988 by a group of friends each with years of experience playing in the "British brass" style. Under the leadership of William Rollins, the group grew and progressed to become the exciting ensemble it is today. In September 1998, Douglas Yeo, bass trombonist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, succeeded Bill Rollins as Music Director and in 2008, Stephen Bulla succeeded Douglas Yeo as the band's Music Director. The Band released five compact discs between 1999 and 2008, four of which, Be Glad Then America, The Light of the World and Honour and Glory are currently available.
